- Re-approval of existing raw material suppliers
- Re-approval of existing flavouring preparations & substances
- Supporting with training within the QA department & for other departments if required.
- The assessment of potential new raw materials required by the business. This will consider Health & Safety, Food safety & quality together with legal compliance.
- Functional member of the TACCP (Threat Assessment Critical Control Point) team
- Supporting on raw material risk assessments
- To collate product and regulatory information for data entry onto company software system.
- Request raw material and supplier data within the specified timeframe.
- Raising purchase orders
- Use of external systems such as Sedex
- Supporting the Technical Services team with answering customer queries and questionnaires.
- Perform internal auditing of factory standards and compliance to Quality Management procedures and policies to agreed schedule.
- Verification & validation testing according to schedule and taking corrective action where required.
- Traceability tests according to schedule
- Support in customer product complaints investigations.
- Record-keeping evidence of QMS (Quality Management System) compliance
- Managing QMS document review programme and maintenance
- Collating and reporting on compliance and trend data
- Provide technical information to internal departments as required and request information from suppliers as required.
- Report issues and non-conformance's in a timely manner

**Essential criteria for this position are**:

- Understanding of traceability
- HACCP understanding & ideally trained to level 3.
- Understanding of TACCP/Food Defence
- Ability to interpret risk assessments.
- Attention to detail and ability to proofread documents without error.
- Teamworking and ability to work with multiple teams within the business.
- Time management and ability to prioritise workload.
- IT literacy, including Outlook, Word & Excel.

**Desirable Criteria for this position are**:

- Knowledge of specification systems
- Knowledge of flavour raw materials

**Salary**: £27,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
