10 Month Fixed Term Position
Are you an experienced HR professional looking for an exciting role helping South Warwickshire University NHS FT to make culture change to live our values and support our staff to deliver high quality services to our patients?
This role will be pivotal in supporting the delivery of the Trust’s HR and workforce strategy. You will be responsible for providing professional leadership to the HR, Recruitment, Medical Staffing and Workforce teams to ensure we meet the Trust’s strategic objectives.
You will also be responsible for building a culture within the People and Workforce team of continual improvement and development; including developing, monitoring and implementing strategies, policies, procedures and practices ensuring they meet our vision of a staff centered service, best practice and the operational needs of the service.
You will have significant experience in leading and managing a large Human Resources function within a large and complex organisation. This will include experience of dealing with complex employee relations issues and the ability to proactively support the workforce team to develop creative, pragmatic and staff centered approaches to managing employee relations at a divisional level.
The primary objective is to support the delivery of best possible care for patients.
To support the delivery of the Trust’s aspiration to have an engaged, passionate and capable workforce who are trusted to provide safe, effective, compassionate care through effective leadership of a responsive, high quality and staff centred People & Workforce function.
The role will be responsible for leading and managing the provision of an operationally professional and business-focused HR service to all Divisions across the Trust.
To ensure that all employee related issues are comprehensively and effectively addressed through proactive, employee-centric and best practice human resources advice and delivery
To deliver a comprehensive and business-focussed HR service to the Divisions includes workforce planning and development, employee relations, leading and influencing organisational change, and efficient redeployment of the workforce.
In addition, the post holder will take responsibility for the leadership and management of Trust wide corporate Workforce objectives and/or management of specific projects driven by HR/OD.
The post holder will provide leadership to the People and Workforce team, and will cover as required for senior colleagues within the People & Education directorate, as appropriate, and deputise for the Deputy Chief People Officer as required.

**Key Result Areas**:
Manage the day to day provision of a professional, high quality and staff centred People & Workforce service providing strategic direction and leadership in moving forward the Trust’s Workforce & Resourcing agenda, including external reporting and compliance requirements.
To collaborate with The Foundation Group and ensure that where possible policies, procedures and protocols are harmonised and consistent across the Group. The expectation would be that there is consistency of approach across the Foundation Group policies and procedures in all circumstances, and only to develop SWFT specific policy if there is an overwhelming and urgent patient safety or legal requirement.
Provide information and advice to Divisions and the Trust centrally across the organisation in order to facilitate the development and management of staff, and the improvement of services, ensuring that they are consistent with a staff centred approach, legislation, agreed local and national workforce policy.
Provide guidance and coaching to the People & Workforce team on complex HR issues to ensure the consistent delivery of a high quality and employee-centric service through the provision of accurate and timely professional information and advice.
