Cambridge, United Kingdom Uncommon Full time

**Want to help change how the world is fed?**

Uncommon began its journey as Higher Steaks and recently underwent a transformative rebranding. Our new brand and identity truly reflects our mission, values, and the positive global influence we aspire to achieve. We transform the global food system by making delicious and nutritious food - from animal cells and plants. We are pioneering the development of cultivated meat to solve some of the world’s growing challenges in health, sustainability and animal welfare.

We're a purpose, science and engineering-driven company dedicated to creating breakthrough technologies that will push the boundaries of what’s possible - delivering innovations that benefit people, the planet and animals.

Our brilliant team are experts in their respective fields, drawn from around the world. We’re passionate, curious, innovative and at the forefront of the ground-breaking work being done in this exciting and rapidly growing sector. Uncommon is a well-funded biotech company; we’ve experienced spectacular growth over the last few years and continue accelerating every month.

We are growing rapidly again this year so this is a great time to join us and solve one of the most critical challenges we face today

**About the role**:
We’re investing early in our ‘People Team’. We hired great specialists across HR and Talent Acquisition and our Recruitment Coordinator will be the next addition to the team as we shape then execute the people strategy for the next few years.

This is an amazing opportunity to join the People Team in its early stages and contribute to designing something from the ground up, and then implementing and running it.

We love working with each other just as much as we love the work we do, so we would want you to be in the office at least part of the time, but we’re embracing hybrid working and this position can be part remote.

**What you will be doing**:

- Continuously identify opportunities to improve recruitment processes and contribute to implementing best practices.
- Post job vacancies on various job boards and company career pages ensuring that job postings are clear, accurate, and up-to-date.
- Manage interview calendars and ensure the availability of interviewers and meeting rooms.
- Assist the HR team in handling administrative tasks related to the recruitment process, such as preparing offer letters, contracts, and other relevant documentation.
- Assist in the onboarding process by collecting necessary documentation from new hires and liaising with relevant departments to facilitate a smooth onboarding experience.

**What we think you need**:

- Prior experience as a Recruitment Coordinator or in a similar administrative role within HR or talent acquisition.
- Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruitment software.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate data collection and documentation.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism.
- A proactive and positive attitude, demonstrating a willingness to support the team wherever needed.

**Reward**

Alongside a competitive base salary, all our people get these benefits:

- Share options
- 28 days annual leave (plus bank holidays)
- Enhanced parental leave pay
- Cycle-to-work scheme and gym membership
- Flexible hours
- "Make your work life easier" annual stipend
- Regular team dinners and social activities
- Snacks, fruits, tea, coffee and more
- Uncommon recruits, employs, trains, compensates and promotes regardless of race, religion, colour, national origin, sex, disability, age, and other protected status as required by applicable law. The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by incumbents assigned to this job. This is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all the functions, responsibilities, duties and skills required for the position, and Uncommon Limited retains the discretion to modify._
