We have an availability for an experienced Full time Office Administrator with us at Mike Rickwood & Sons.
We are a Family business with a team of 10+ staff and have been in the Flooring trade for 34 years. Our main business focus is floor coverings and secondary is furniture, blinds, beds.
This is a job that the right applicant can be happy in for a long time to come.
**Working Hours**
39 hours per week / 5 days a week including 9-4 Saturdays which are essential.
**Salary**
£19,000+ depending on experience/qualifications.
Competitive wage for an immediate start.
**Contract**
1 day - 1 week trial.
6 month contract with option of Permanent Contract after.
**Key Requirements**
- Windows computer literacy essential
- The ability to work quickly on a desktop computer
- To work independently if necessary
- Good organisational skills
- Work well under pressure
- Confident customer service and communication skills
- The ability to receive carpet deliveries and move them where needed
- Strong arithmetic skills
- Be educated up to at least GCSE level
- Being keen to learn new things is absolutely essential as there is quite a lot of learning involved. We encourage self research into the flooring trade.
**Desirable**
- Saturday shifts highly desirable
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Accounting literacy (VAT etc)
- Knowledge of the local area
- Driving licence preferable
- QuickBooks online experience
- Prepare to help manually rarely (Tidying store, taking deliveries)
- Understanding of basic units of measurements (Square meterage, meters, feet etc)
**Job roles involve**
- Use of our in house booking/quoting/invoicing system (Training will be provided)
- Dealing with general queries/public
- Filing, scanning and data entry as required
- Processing orders
- Receive deliveries from small packages to very large rolls of carpet, full training will be given
- Handling petty cash
- Any other duties as may be required from time to time
