**We are looking for**:
1.Band A Dental Officer 0.6 WTE Permanent location TBC

2.Band A Dental Officer 0.6 WTE Fixed Term until March 2024 location TBC

3.Band A Paediatric Dentist 0.4 WTE Maternity cover 1 year fixed term Parsons Green.

The post holder will work with the Community and Specialist Dental Service Team delivering dental care and advice to patients of the Community Dental Service including children and adults with special care needs across a variety of clinical settings.

The post holder will work with the Community and Specialist Dental Service Team delivering dental care and advice to children and their parents/carers attending the Community Dental Service.

The post holder will serve patients from various community groups, including patients with additional needs such and complex medical and social histories, looked after children and anxious children.

Services to be provided include preventive care and advice, dental treatment, care under sedation.

The post older maybe required to participate in epidemiological surveys and school screenings.

Undertake thorough examination, diagnosis and assessment of patients.

Carry out treatment planning and care management for a range of patients.

To plan, develop, implement and evaluate appropriate interventions to prevent disease and promote health for individual patients.

To identify commonly occurring medical emergencies and lead the dental team in the appropriate first line management of the emergency, using appropriate techniques, equipment and drugs.

To use appropriate local anaesthetic and patient management approaches to control pain and anxiety during dental treatment.

To use sedation where required.

Carry out routine exodontias and/or simple surgical exodontias.

Undertake appropriate assessment of patients to determine the need for specialist advice.

Undertake appropriate investigations during patient examination to determine the need for specialist advice in the management of the developing dentition.

Undertake the diagnosis, selection of appropriate restorative techniques and delivery of restoration or replacement of teeth in an effective way.
