Are you a Nurse/ Non-Medical Prescriber (NMP) or want to train to become one?
Are you passionate about working with children and young people in a Buckinghamshire community mental health setting, who wants to be able to work from home and a clinical base?
Do you want to be a vital member of the ADHD Clinic, and help the system to understand the complete identity of the young people, including their neurodivergence, mental health and developmental profile?
Then this role is for you.
- Lead on dynamic, holistic and evidence-based assessments to develop an effective medication regime using specialist knowledge
- Contribute to Multi-professional assessment and formulation of the needs of child and young person
- Prescribe safely and effectively, acknowledging own limitations and scope of practice.
- Work closely with families and the education and social care systems to empower them to help the child / young person to reach their potential
- To assess and manage risk with a specialist understanding of how neurodivergence contributes and can complicate the presentation

The post holder will provide an independent prescribing service for young people in line with Trust policy and supported through a Governance framework. The post holder will provide expert specialist nursing practice to children and young people under 18 years and will participate in the regular review of clinical policies and guidelines within this field and implement required changes to practice. The post holder will ensure the delivery of effective evidence based clinical practice and will undertake a lead professional role for a complex case load of young people.
