Clinical Psychiatric Consultant Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Psychiatric Consultant to join our team at Medacs Healthcare. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to patients experiencing a range of mental health problems.

About the Job

The successful candidate will work closely with patients, carers, and other healthcare professionals to assess, evaluate, and develop treatment plans that meet the individual needs of each patient. You will also be responsible for prescribing and administering medications, as well as maintaining accurate patient records and medical histories.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with patients experiencing a range of mental health problems, including eating disorders.
  • Assess and evaluate patients to determine the most effective treatment plan.
  • Analyse data and test results to form accurate diagnoses and inform treatment decisions.
  • Create and implement bespoke treatment plans for patients, including medication management.
  • Effectively communicate plans of action to other team members and stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and medical histories.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • A MBBS or equivalent medical degree.
  • Full registration with the GMC.
  • A full Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
