**Please note that this is a fixed term contract opportunity for a period of 12 months. This is a part time position working 18.5 hours per week, the pro rata salary will be £14,989 per annum.**

**The Opportunity**

ACL is ECC’s adult learning provider. It supports adults aged 19+ by improving their lives through learning and contributing to a more enriched, healthy, and prosperous county.

ACL’s Parent Ambassador Programme seeks to support families in Essex through enabling parents, carers, and guardians to develop new skills and volunteer in schools and community venues. Through the programme they will be able to positively influence their peers in terms of engagement in learning and educational aspirations.

The co-ordinator role will be crucial in supporting the success of this programme and ensure outcomes for residents are met. This will include supporting development, delivery, and taking responsibility for the coordination of the project and recruitment and training of its participants.

**Accountabilities**
- Responsible for the day-to-day coordination of the project that includes the engagement, recruitment, and training of Parent Ambassadors.
- Develop clear learning pathways that provide Parent Ambassadors with good opportunities to progress
- Responsible for providing relevant Information, Advice and Guidance and then signposting and referring to appropriate programmes, initiatives, or organisations
- Responsible for generating good quality leads, from schools, communities, and community groups, through a range of engagement activities that increase uptake in Family and Community Learning provision, and support parents to improve their skills, participate in their community and or access jobs
- Establish a referral network to support the project outputs and link other relevant projects and initiatives to maximise engagement and opportunities for Parent Ambassadors
- Support the ACL Marketing, PR & Comms Team to develop targeted marketing campaigns, activity and promotional materials that effectively promote the project
- Identify, create, and attend regular events to promote the project, and increase uptake.
- Responsible for ensuring that project milestones are met on time and all paperwork and project activity is accurately recorded and reported on at agreed times to the relevant stakeholders
- Specific individual and shared targets and objectives are defined annually within the performance management framework.

**The Experience You Will Bring**
- Educated to level 3 or similar by experience
- Evidence of continuing professional development and knowledge in relevant professional area
- A qualification in Information, Advice and Guidance is desirable but not essential
- Demonstrable track record of leading or coordinating a project
- Experience of building and maintaining strong relationships and partnerships with both internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent communicator with a proven ability to engage with a diverse group of local residents to deliver outstanding support and customer service at all times.
