About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and reliable HGV Driver to join our team at J.J Freight and Logistics Limited in Basildon, England.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive safely and securely, adhering to company and regulatory requirements.
  • Complete relevant paperwork accurately and on time.
  • Ensure vehicles, consumables, and assets are clean and secure.
  • Act as an ambassador for the company, providing excellent customer service.
  • Report any accidents, breakdowns, or emergencies in line with company policy.
  • Comply with all internal and external regulatory requirements.
  • Comply with Health, Safety, and Environment policies and other relevant regulations.
Requirements
  • Current and clean HGV driving licence.
  • Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) with no current suspension or revocation.
  • Good communication skills and ability to manage own work effectively.
  • A positive and proactive approach to work with clear customer focus.
  • A team player with a positive “can-do” attitude, hard-working, and willing to learn.
  • No more than six penalty points (excluding DD, DR, or IN endorsements).
  • Hold a Digital Tachograph / Smart Card.
  • Right to work in the UK.
