We have an exciting opportunity for a permanent Waiting List Administrator at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust City campus within the Urology department.
The Waiting List Administrator will be in a significant administrative role and a key member of the multi-disciplinary team. The main purpose of the role is to facilitate the waiting list booking, coordination and communication with patients needed to administer the service and into be the link with patients and the consultants. The Waiting List coordinator will also provide support to the other members of the team
As part of a team, the post holder will be responsible for the administration of patient waiting lists for the patients. They will book appointment dates and any pre-requisite tests and transport. The post holder will play a key role within the service and is required to work in close liaison with NHS colleagues, patients and the general public. They will also fulfill administrative duties in support of clinicians, including sending letters to patients, and arrange pre operative appointments

The post-holder will lead the administration of patient waiting lists for the Urology department. Duties will include adding/removing patients from the waiting lists; coordinating/booking patient transport and admission to hospital using clinical IT systems; writing letters to patients to confirm appointments or to communicate outcomes to patients and GPs, based on audio dictation from clinicians; act as the first point of contact for patient queries; work with pace towards patient admission and discharge and ensure accurate entry of data and minimise breaches against targets; work to defined protocols when allowing patients to access the service; work flexibly and step-in where needed in administration to allow the service to continue to grow and improve.
