Askham Bryan College is a specialist land-based college based across the North of England with centres in York, Middlesbrough, Saltaire, Wakefield and Newcastle.

We offer a wide-ranging curriculum to our Further Education students, including Arboriculture, Horticulture, Agriculture, Animal Management, Countryside and the Environment, Engineering, Equine, Floristry, Motorsport, Professional Tree Surgery, Outdoor Adventure Sport, Sports Development, Coaching and Fitness and Uniformed Public Services.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Student Experience Leader to join our Student Services Team based here at our York campus. This role will be working full time across a full year to ensure we provide our students with the very best enrichment experience across all of our campuses.

We are seeking an individual who will be responsible for planning, organising and delivering a planned programme of activities for our students across College. Working closely with other members of the team and our fabulous Student’s union, you will use your skills and knowledge of cultural events, volunteering, fundraising and community work to ensure we provide our students with the very best experience while they study here at Askham Bryan College and UCAB.

You should have excellent interpersonal skills, with some experience of working with young people in a student experience and/or enrichment capacity. You will have some experience of events management and have outstanding organisational skills. Safeguarding knowledge and experience would be beneficial.

**Main Purpose of the role**

The main purpose of this role it to work with key stakeholders - the SU, students and College staff - to provide extra-curricular activities which are broad and of a high standard and expose students to interesting and accessible events and activities in a safe environment. The Students’ Union works in partnership with the College’s Student Services Team to provide an enhanced experience for all students - day and residential. A key part of the role is to oversee and mentor the SU Committee to ensure delivery of on-site events including those in line with the College EDI agenda and off-site activities including volunteering opportunities. The role includes co-ordination of capture of student voice to provide feedback to the College management team on a variety of issues. The role may require some evening and weekend work.

**Key Tasks / responsibilities**:
All tasks to be carried out in a consistent manner with the corporation’s culture.
- This post would be responsible for managing the programme for Focus weeks, developing across college programme, building relationships with stake holders, members/students of the College, community and charitable organisations, sponsors and funders.
