**About the Client**:
The Cabinet Office is a department of His Majesty's Government responsible for supporting the prime minister and Cabinet.

This role will sit within the he Complex Grants Advice Panel (CGAP), the CGAP is a key component of the Grants Pipeline Spending Control

The department ensures investments c.£40B of government general grants annually are provided with critical advice and support

**What Will Be Your Day to Day Responsibilities?**

The business support officer (internally known as a Governance Analyst) role will be responsible for maintaining and developing CGAP's core governance policies, processes and documents.
- Management of the full cycle of Panel meetings, including scheduling, preparing Chairs briefs, minute taking, drafting Panel recommendations, and feedback and follow-up processes.
- Quality assurance of CGAP papers, including ensuring compliance with governance processes.
- Working collaboratively and flexibly to support the team to achieve a high-quality of service.
- Writing and contributing to reports, including identifying and preparing case studies
- Take an active role in continuous improvement process, suggesting and implementing improvements to products and processes

This role is a working from home role, however you may be required to attend the offices in London & York on the odd occasions for team meetings

This client would be the ideal fit for yourself if you have experience of the following:

- Strong communication skills (both oral and written) as dealing with senior stakeholders
- Accuracy within writing reports as this is a common responsibility within the role. These reports would also need to be clear & well written as senior stakeholders will have access to them
- The cabinet office use Google Docs, so familiarity with google docs would be beneficial
- Minute taking
- Experienced administrator

You will be provided with training for anything that is client specific, but we will be looking for those strong transferable skills

A references and criminal record check will be required, and you will need a current valid passport or your original long or short birth certificate
