**What you can expect**:
This post sits within the Fundraising team at YMCA England & Wales which is part of the Income Generation Directorate. The Fundraising team raises income from Corporate and Events, Direct Marketing and Major Donors, Trusts and Grants. Supporter Services and Database functions also sit within this team.

**What is expected from you**:

- Support the development of London Marathon and other challenge events, ensuring high profitability, efficiency, excellent levels of supporter care and reporting and recruiting/managing volunteers.
- Take a pro-active and creative approach to identifying and researching new funding opportunities.
- To develop and maintain a full report of the Events activity ensuring that the status of events is easily accessed.
- Responding to correspondence requests, orders and general enquiries and queries from members of the public and local associations in relation to events, major donor and corporate projects.
- Undertake additional activities and manage ad hoc projects as required by other members of the team to ensure the smooth running of the Fundraising Department.

**Key Working Relationships**
- Develop good working relationships with YMCA England & Wales colleagues and other YMCAs to ensure the flow of knowledge and information to and from the department and wider partnership.
- Work closely with external agencies and suppliers to ensure excellent value for money and service.
- Ensure that fundraising guidelines are understood and provide current and correct recommendations of best practice to event participants as necessary. This will include HMRC gift aid guidelines and IoF code of practice guidelines to ensure our fundraising is carried out ethically, lawfully and responsibly and to flag any concerns or questions immediately to more senior members of the team.
