A new opportunity for a **Senior Administrator **to join our Legal and Governance team (LeGo) has arisen. The Senior Administrator will be a key contact and central admin hub for the LeGo team, and will include working closely with the General Counsel.

**About the role**:
You will act as the lead for administrative activities and coordination of projects for the Legal & Governance team, which comprises Legal, Research Governance and Corporate Governance. These include:

- Analysing LeGo's current admin processes and developing creative, innovative ways to improve these processes and the documents relating to these (e.g. processes for payment of invoices and processes for engagement with external counsel).
- Working closely with the LeGo team, leading on the roll out and implementation of key admin projects to enable the LeGo team to scale and standardise the ways they work and provide support (e.g. centralising contracts storage across the Institute and setting up and maintaining filing/document management systems).
- Responsible for establishing and rolling out new document signature processes and ensuring that these are consistent with the Institute's Scheme of Delegation as approved by the Board.
- Responsible for setting up and maintaining processes for selection and monitoring of suppliers (including establishing panel of preferred external counsel).
- Providing administrative and general support to the General Counsel on a day to day basis and with ad hoc projects and initiatives, including providing regular reports on these.
- Acting as a key point of contact and providing assistance on administrative matters relating to the LeGo team.

**Essential Skills**:

- Substantial experience of providing administrative and general support in a legal and/or governance context within a complex and dynamic setting
- Commercially and financially aware
- Strong communicator with a demonstrable ability to present ideas in an articulate way
- "Can-do" attitude focused on looking for solutions.
- Demonstrable ability to think creatively and problem-solve administrative issues
- Strong team-player with a track record of working collaboratively across a varied team
- Ability to work well with a wide range of people (from scientists and academics to finance and operational professionals)
- Positive, open-minded with a flexible approach
- Enthusiasm for the Institute's charitable mission in scientific research

**Other Information**:

- Salary in the region of £39,000 to £47,000
- Closing date: 3rd August
