Merchandising and Approvals Administrator

Park Agencies is a leading designer and developer of licensed merchandise and apparel. Since 2005 PA has developed and maintained close relationships with essential buyers, brand developers, and retail groups throughout UK, Europe and USA.
We have three offices in the UK - London/Brighton/Manchester, have recently relocated administrative functions to Brighton (in the North Lanes) and are looking for a special someone to join the PA family and help drive the business forward. Its busy Always
We are looking for someone with industry experience to link our production planning through to the approvals processes (and vice versa) working across both the Brighton and London offices - living either near Brighton or London and prepared to travel between the two offices one or two days per week (which will be expensed).
Duties include:
- Take responsibility for the approvals process (from design concept through to delivery in store) with own portfolio of licenses as a key member of the approvals team
- Take ownership the Critical Path and ensure it is updated regularly and is accurate
- Work closely with the Production Manager and sales teams
- Follow up on any critical issues affecting costs/approvals/delivery requirements and help resolve
- Assist the sales team on negotiating cost prices and lead times with factories - UK, Europe, Turkey, Bangladesh, China etc.
- Ensure that customer/retail packaging and all other delivery requirements (via retail supplier manuals) are communicated effectively to factory and ensure that requirements are adhered to
- Make sure that pre-production and production approvals are received in a timely manner
- Assist the production manager to ensure that factories are compliant and goods are to the expected quality
- Produce final production orders and ensure that finance have accurate information to issue formal purchase orders
- Upload necessary information onto numerous licence and logistics extranets
- Help to ensure that the PA tracker is kept up to date with production and approvals information
- Travel one or two days per week between the London production office and the Brighton administration centre
**Requirements**:
- Strong attention to detail
- Good organisational skills
- Familiarity with business processes and systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Some knowledge of supply chain management preferred
- Excellent excel skills, Illustrator would be helpful
- Must have an interest in fashion, perhaps a related degree or good academic degree
