**The Position: Supply Chain Specialist**

Support in all Supply & Demand stock control and plan management.

**Job Requirements**:
Your role as Supply Chain Planner is an essential role within the Supply Chain department. Through MRP analysis ensure the correct materials in the correct quantities are ordered within leadtime. Assess the demand plan requirements for finished goods and plan to reach target stock levels whilst considering positive release timelines, factory constraints and shelflife to customer. Review demand plan in line with on site storage capacity and any external storage requirements.

**Essential Job Functions/ Skills**:

- Inventory management: Optimize inventory levels by balancing demand fluctuations, production lead times, and supply constraints. You'll monitor inventory levels, analyse stock outs and excess inventory situations, and recommend appropriate actions such as safety stock adjustments, re-ordering, or obsolescence management. The goal is to ensure product availability while minimizing costs associated with excess inventory ensuring that demand, inventory and supply chain planning is accurate, monitored and maintained correctly day in day out, week on week.
- Manage freezer capacity on site and any external storage requirements.
- Ensure through MRP review that all demand has appropriate materials ordered to arrive in time for the build plan.
- Raise orders in system and place with suppliers for MRP requirements, gain order confirmations and update relevant files.
- Liaise with suppliers on any push/pull requirements.
- Identify any stock concerns and advise of potential shortages.
- Identify any material MOQ concerns and liaise with supplier/escalate where necessary.
- Support, guide, coach Team Members.
- Promote continuous improvement within your area and site wide
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with Team Members over all functions internally and externally where applicable
- Deputise for team members and manager when necessary.
- Cross functional training/Training Matrix
- Co-operate in one’s own personal training and development programme in accordance with the Company’s Training Policy and Procedure

**Required Experience**:

- 2 years minimum in a planning/purchasing environment role.
