We are looking for a personable, organised and pro-active team player to join our Finance team on a part-time basis who will be providing administrative support to the business.
The Finance team are responsible for the recording and reporting of the organisation’s financial transactions and performance in line with current accounting methods and rules. They also provide accounting support and advice to staff at all levels.
**JOB DESCRIPTION: Accounts Administrator**

**Term**: Permanent (part time, 25hrs per week)
**Salary**: £18,000 - £20,000 **(pro-rata, dependent on experience)**
**Job Purpose**: To provide administrative support.
**Main responsibilities**:
The administration of the direct debit scheme in line with BACS guidelines and rules and additionally to provide finance administration support to the Senior Finance Administrator.
1. Action all reports generated via AUDDIS (Automated Direct Debit Instruction Service) and ARUDD (Automated Return of Unpaid Direct Debit) in a timely manner, ensuring that the membership database is updated as appropriate.
2. Responsible for ensuring all new instructions are confirmed to the payer in line with the Advance Notice rules issued by BACS.
3. Notify to the payer outstanding balances resulting from unpaid or cancelled direct debits.
5. Responsible for the invoicing and collection of CM magazine advertising revenue.
6. Undertake the day-to-day processing and checking of various member receipts to ensure the integrity of the membership database.
7. Provide support to the Finance Assistant in the day-to-day processing of accounting transactions as agreed with line manager from time to time.
8. Provide support and cover for other members of the Finance team as required and agreed with line manager.
9. Provide administrative support to other teams as required and agreed with line manager.

In addition to the above:
- You may be asked to undertake additional roles and responsibilities from time to time as requested by your line manager.

Essential - Experience of working in an account’s office, Math & English GCSEs, maintaining a database, processing payments, competent in MS Excel & Word.
Desirable - Experience of working within a charity and/or a service company, AAT level 1, running direct debits
