We are seeking a skilled individual to join our team as a Finance Assistant. This role will involve managing day-to-day accountancy transactions, primarily focusing on Purchase Ledger and Banking.
In this position, you will play a crucial role in supporting Corporate and Fund Accountants to prepare quarterly accounts and budgets.
To succeed in this role, you must possess strong communication skills, excellent organisational abilities, and a keen interest in learning and developing your finance skills.
As a Finance Assistant, you will gain valuable experience in a venture capital company while pursuing your formal studies (AAT, CIMA or ACCA).
Key Responsibilities:
- Purchase Ledger & Payments: Enter and code purchase invoices, credit card statements, and file documents.
- Banking: Regularly post and code bank payments and receipts, check bank charges, and perform monthly reconciliations.
- Fund Accounting Support: Validate investment details and adhere to finance processes. Make payments to investors via Barclays systems.
- Corporate Accounts Support: Create sales invoices and reconcile Nominal Accounts quarterly.
Essential Requirements:
- AAT part-qualified (stage 4) or equivalent qualifications.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and familiarity with finance systems.
- Motivation to learn and develop in finance.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Prior experience in an office or finance setting.
Salary Range: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum
