Edinburgh, United Kingdom Cathcart Technology Full time

A software company in Edinburgh City Centre is looking for a **Linux System Administrator **to join their team. The company are fairly new to Edinburgh but have big plans for growth here over the next few years.

Like most companies, the pandemic slowed the company down a little, but they are now well and truly back on track and looking to grow again. Their software is used for educational purposes across many different sectors, and they have an impressive clientele.

You'll be the 3rd member of the **Linux DevOps** team, but this will actually be their 1st hire for this team within Scotland. You'll still work closely with the overseas team but will have a lot of autonomy given the different time zones. They are looking for someone at mid-level, so expect you to have a few years of commercial experience already and require you to have experience of **Linux **and **VMware**. There may be the opportunity to upskill in modern cloud technologies in the future, such as **AWS**, **Azure** or **GCP**.

It's a great team that you'll be going into - they are strong technically and very friendly as well, which is half the battle.

The company are based in **Edinburgh City Centre** and have a very flexible working approach. Current team members go into the office a range of 1-4 times per week but if you prefer being mostly remote then that is fine as well. You will need to be able to go to Edinburgh every now and then, so being based in Scotland is much preferred. They can pay up to £52,000 for the role and have a generous benefits package on top of this.
