**Role Purpose**
Leading in collaboration with the senior team, you will be responsible for implementing the Menzies London Heathrow strategic plan for workforce planning. You'll be an instrumental part of the Menzies London Heathrow senior leadership team to develop and implement workforce and equipment requirements. You'll play a crucial role to organise the resources for the station, staff as well as equipment, to satisfy operational demand, determined by the operational flight schedules and customer portfolio of the station. You'll provide full planning for new business and renewal of current contracts. You'll maintain systems chosen for planning and support full budget requirements.
This is a strategic role, overseeing workforce planning for new business, renewal of current commercial contracts. You will lead the development and deployment of new systems and KPI measurement to deliver operational flight schedules. You will be required to working collaboratively in a large, complex, fast paced environment. You should be an experienced leader, capable of motivating a large team to deliver strategic priorities.
**What you will be doing**
- Ensuring that accurate schedules are maintained, and SLA's of the various airline customers are met through effective and efficient planning of staff and equipment resources
- Ensuring that resources requirements are determined in an efficient and economical manner in order to limit idle time and costs are limited in order to stay within the budgetary constraints.
- Ensuring that adequately trained staff are scheduled in order to satisfy the requirements of the various airlines, and that adherence to the local rest time regulations.
- Ensure Menzies Aviation Safety and Quality Standards are not jeopardised due to insufficient resources.
- Assist in determining training requirements as per customer need, as well as in scheduling staff for training in order to meet those needs.
- Administering the Time and Attendance (Kronos) system with regards to the operations, and planning, compiling and producing rosters for distribution to the various operational departments and any time registration corrections.
- Assist with identifying operational shortcomings and training needs.
- Assisting other Menzies Aviation UK&I stations in their resourcing requirements, effective and efficient planning and scheduling thereof when necessary.
- Provide planning for new business and contract renewels to ensure business fit with the current contracts.
- Challenge roster patterns and staff contracts to deliver best cost results to the business.
- Provide reports to the business as required to assist with the day to day running of the operation.
- Manage all areas of the Planning & Resource Management department including but not limited to planning, Kronos management, MARS, assisting payroll and sickness reporting.

**What we are looking for**
- Proven planning experience, especially in a ground handling environment.
- Experience of managing people in the delivery of quality work to demanding deadlines.
- Knowledge and understanding of airport vetting requirements and associated legislation
- Good understanding of excel spreadsheets.
- Controlling of operational costs through effective and efficient planning.
- Negotiation and leadership skills.
- Strong customer services skills.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to develop a good working relationship with employees, (operational) management, customers as well other airport stakeholders.
- Proven leadership in previous positions.
- Problem solving and data centric attitude.
- Understand nature of planning business - cost cutting whilst satisfying customers as well as contenting employees.
