Business Development Manager

Our client is a stalwart of the UK Removals and Storage Industry. A multi-branch, long term BAR member with a great reputation for quality.

They are now looking for a Business Development Manager to join their Corporate Relocation team in Surrey.

This is a hybrid position however, you will be expected to work in the Surrey office once a week.

The main purpose of the job is to develop and secure business within the Corporate UK and international markets and the development of trade storage business nationwide.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Developing new and existing business for the company
- To work with the MD, to develop the company’s brand in line with agreed revenue and gross profit margin budgets
- To maintain existing and develop new customers through appropriate propositions and sales methods and relevant internal liaison to optimise quality of service, business growth and customer satisfaction
- To use customer contact activities, tools and systems and update relevant information held in these systems
- To respond to and follow-up Sales Enquiries using appropriate methods
- To monitor and report Marketing activities and provide relevant reports and information
- To attend and present to external customer meetings and internal meetings with other company functions necessary to perform duties and to aid Business Development throughout the Group
- To attend training and to develop relevant knowledge, techniques, and skills
- To build trust, value others, communicate effectively, drive execution, foster innovation, focus on the customer, collaborate with others, solve problems creatively and demonstrate high integrity
- To visit and maintain good communication with all Accounts being developed
- To report to the Managing Director on a monthly basis on the development of the brand
- To ensure compliance of oneself with the Health and Safety at Work Act etc.1974
- To ensure compliance of oneself with defined quality system policy and procedures in accordance with ISO 9002
- Any other duties as may be requested by the Managing Director
