Administrative Assistant

The post holder will provide administrative support to the Quality and Safety team. We are a small team working across mental health and learning disability services supporting clinical staff to meet governance standards.
The post holder will need to have a good communication style and be able to manage phone calls form patients and their families as well as from clinicians and managers of other service areas. An understanding of information governance is an essential part of the role.
The work will include supporting the Datix system for incidents and complaints reporting, preparing agenda and typing meeting notes. The person appointed will have a role in supporting the Quality and Safety managers to arrange meetings and manage their diaries.
The management of patent records requested by the team including copying patient records and ensuring effective information management of records when held by the team.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

To undertake clerical and processing database tasks to support the Quality & Safety Team, handling and management of individual complaints, incidents, claims and investigations in accordance with SBUHB policies and procedures and local processes, procedures and performance standards.
To provide general administrative and secretarial support to the Quality & Safety Manager and senior team members.
To be responsible for preparing the weekly reports for the Quality & Safety Team.
To liaise with all members of the Health Care setting, including primary, secondary and community teams in addition to other departments and independent contractors.
To maintain high standards of information governance as a member of the Quality & Safety Team.
