Officer - Client Corporate Governance (Jersey)

**What is the opportunity?**

You will be part of our Client Corporate Governance team, providing an efficient function to our Private Client Fiduciary Services. This will include assistance with the formation / dissolution of entities in different jurisdictions, maintenance of Statutory records, review and recording of all fiduciary decisions; ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and RBC policies & procedures. You will also ensure that work is prepared accurately and within the agreed service level agreement and/or deadlines.

**What will you do?**
- Prepare company and trust minutes / resolutions and ancilliary documentation in order that all directors / shareholders / trustees’ decisions are made and recorded in accordance with relevant legislation / entity records / jurisdiction as required.
- Ensure that all that all trust company administered companies, where RBC provide secretary, comply with regulatory filing requirements together with relevant tax filings, annual registration / validations and that filing fees are paid promptly ensuring all companies remain in good standing.
- Update our relevant systems so that all entities statutory records are accurate at all times.

**What do you need to succeed?**

**Must-have**
- Basic knowledge of Trust Law and Company Law
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations in a proactive manner.
- Ability to work as a team, yet at the same time using own initiative.
- Good interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with internal RBC staff and external contacts.
- Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines.

**Nice-to-have**
- Previous experience using IT programmes such as Word/Excel/5Series/Content manager.
- Hold or be studying for an internationally recognised professional qualification, ideally an, Associate of the Chartered Institute of Secretaries and Administrators or Member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners
- Have experience of trust / company administration with basic accounting knowledge.
