Oxford, United Kingdom Restore Ltd Full time

About Restore

Restore is an Oxfordshire charity that supports individuals to live with increased freedom from the constraints of serious and enduring mental illness, enabling them to live fulfilling lives.

We believe that everyone has talents and abilities, and the capacity to make a valuable contribution to the community. We believe that people with mental health problems have the right to work and the right to the support they need to become and remain employed. We believe that the stigma associated with mental health problems damages the whole community and we work to challenge this discrimination.

We work with around 1,000 people a year supporting individuals to increase sustainable recovery and decrease risk of relapse. We do this through three key intervention channels, these are:

- Activity: therapeutic recovery groups which support the development of skills and confidence
- Coaching: support towards work, retaining current employment, volunteering and study
- Learning: courses and training for individuals, businesses and the wider community.

Participants in our therapeutic mental health recovery groups commit to structured group activities through which connections re built with each other, Restore staff and volunteers. Participation involves taking part in a range of meaningful activities in a therapeutic environment ranging from woodwork, crafts, art, horticulture, cookery, and in our Garden Cafe and Littlemore hospital recovery groups, running an ethical cafe, gaining skills in catering, food hygiene, and customer service.

Our dedicated coaches are embedded across our services and support individuals to define their goals and work towards them, supporting coachees to progress into work, be supported to retain current employment, or continue into training, education or volunteering.

Lastly, Restore is a provider of expert training and education. In addition to our recovery group and coaching services, Restore supports mental health recovery through hosting the Oxfordshire Recovery College which delivers courses direct to members of the public

Restore is a charitable company limited by guarantee and our trustees are elected by our membership and run the organisation on their behalf.
