**Your role**

TEDI-London is a new higher education provider specialising in Global Design Engineering degrees and we opened for our first cohort of students in September 2021.
The provision of an excellent experience for our students is at the heart of what we are here to do at TEDI-London and an essential part of this is ensuring students feel supported as part of their educational experience. Reporting to the Assistant Registrar for Student Experience, this role will provide a high quality student support service, which will effectively support students’ mental health, wellbeing and any adjustments to ensure they can engage effectively with their learning. You will coordinate and actively contribute to the delivery of day-to-day learning support needs of our students.

The role holder will also be involved in the work required to support student casework which may involve mitigating circumstances, complaints, and disciplinary procedures.
The following is an outline of the main duties that you will be required to undertake:
**Wellbeing and Welfare**
- In accordance with TEDI-London’s policies and procedures take measures to ensure that student health and wellbeing are adequately maintained.
- Be available to meet with and support students in distress and refer them to the appropriate resources, responding appropriately to student welfare emergencies and crisis situations.
- To support the Registry on projects designed to meet the requirements of the Access & Participation Plan.
- In collaboration with wider TEDI-London colleagues, ensure students receive information and support in relation to:
Financial Support (Hardship funds, scholarships)
Mental Health & Counselling referral services
Disability (DSA and reasonable adjustments)
Specific Learning Difficulties
Health information and wellbeing services
General wellbeing
- Manage a caseload of students including responding to immediate incidents where appropriate, maintain effective case records and provide reports on work undertaken.
- To identify, research & update well-being related information provided to students, and implement related regulations from external bodies.
- To be responsible for the administration and contribute to the development and review of student finance support.
- To support the Senior Student Experience Officer with the operation of the Student
- Hub (our one-stop-shop for student support) ensuring there is a visible presence on campus for students during term time.
- To contribute to policy research and development within Student Services and the Student Experience.
- To attend and contribute to the Student Experience Committees, Equity Diversity Inclusion and other committees deemed appropriate.
- To review the student support function on an annual basis, or as required and work alongside Registry on appropriate changes.
- To provide learning support via appointments and drop-in sessions to all TEDI- London students.
- Record and contribute to statistical data and keep full and accurate records of support relating to the students' engagement and progress and signpost to other
resources of support as required.
- To maintain a working knowledge of apps and online resources in order to model them to students, ensuring that we can provide them with accessible resources.
