Based in Newcastle upon Tyne, Seriös Group are a boutique data and test solutions provider working across multiple industry sectors.

**The Role**:
This is a fantastic opportunity for a People Assistant to join our HR function as our team continues to grow.

The People Assistant willprovide daily human resources support and assistance to the Company.

The People Assistant will report into the People & Talent Manager and will provide support to employees at all levels.

Main duties will include assisting with HR documentation, meetings, HR administration, recruitment, onboarding, payroll, compiling and maintaining records, in addition to any additional ancillary duties to support the HR function.
- Provide generalist, day-to-day HR support to the People Manager, additionally supporting the L&D Manager as and when required.
- Produce and review HR documents, such as letters contracts, contract amendments, offer letters, salary increases and promotion letters.
- Support with, and advise on non-complex HR queries and requests in a timely and compliant manner, supporting managers and developing in complexity over time.
- Attendance at meetings involving employee relations issues, including at grievance, disciplinary hearings and performance management taking meeting minutes as and when required.
- Absence management - updating sickness absence records, storing employee fit notes, producing absence metrics data.
- Oversee the off-boarding process - drafting relevant letters, off-boarding from internal systems, liaising with our IT provider to remove accesses and collect equipment and supporting with exit interviews.
- Calculate holiday payments and produce annual leave reports for managers throughout the year.
- Assist the People Manager with HR initiatives and projects such as wellbeing programmes, support groups, training sessions and the monthly newsletter.
- Scheduling the annual People calendar - organising attendance at recruitment and networking events, assisting with the administration and organisation of events, sharing ideas for Company initiatives in line with the diversity and inclusion calendar.
- Support the L&D Manager with L&D initiatives, helping with preparation for training sessions and external events, assisting with the administration and updates to our internal learning platform system.
- Ensure our employee platform is kept up to date and add relevant new starter details to the system.
- Assist with payroll preparation by providing relevant and accurate data in a timely manner in line with month end deadlines (new starters, absence data, leavers).
- Supporting the People Manager in the collection and production of monthly HR metrics.
- Continuous professional development - pro-actively keeping up to date with employment law and best practice

**Required**:

- CIPD Level 3 or above qualified; and/ or
- Minimum of a 2:2-degree classification, preferably in Human Resources/ Business Management.
- 2 years’ experience working within a similar position within the HR function.

**Desirable**:

- CIPD Level 3.
- Experience of using people systems such as Sage HR.
- Experience working within a People Assistant role within an SME/ in the Technology Industry.

- Personable and a strong communicator who is able to build strong working relationships with colleagues at all levels,
- Willingness to learn.
- Experience working with Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/ Outlook/ PowerPoint).
- Strong organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail required.
- Ability to work well within a team and independently using own initiative.
- Approachable, helpful and friendly manner; good all-round team-player.
- Focused on delivering to deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal to communicate at all levels internally and externally.
- Flexible, adaptable, ability to multi-task and prioritise own workload.
- Experience of working in an effective and efficient manner.
- A ‘self-starter’ who does not require close supervision.

**Salary**: £23,000.00-£26,999.00 per year
