**Yew Tree Nursing Home is a well established Nursing home which aims to provide its residents with a secure, relaxed and homely environment in which their care, well-being and comfort is of prime importance. All staff will preserve and maintain dignity, individuality and privacy of all residents within a warm and caring environment and in so doing will be sensitive to the residents ever changing needs. Must have working experience of care and Minimum Level 3 NVQ

Be available for working weekend shifts on alternate basis
Be able to provide two references and a checkable work history.
Duties to include
Complete Care plan documentation for residents on a monthly basis and update throughout the month as residents needs change.
To undertake responsibility for Induction Training of new care staff and personally provide them with the skills to do the job
To work along side new or inexperienced staff to provide support and encourage development
Maintain good working relationships with other Health Care Professionals.
To ensure a culture of team working is maintained to ensure best practice
Complete Supervision and competency sessions with Care Staff and provide Pastoral care
Offer guidance to staff and monitor and discuss their progress with the Manager.
Coordinate Training sessions with staff and liaise with Business Manager of progress.
Auditing processes to assist Home Manager
Delegate tasks to staff members by completing the carers diary.
Complete minutes of meetings and distribute to relevant departments.
To develop good relationships with relatives, friends and visitors to ensure effective communication
To ensure core values are upheld at all times, remain professional and encourage the same from all staff at all times
To communicate well with the RN in charge of the shift regarding home life, residents throughout the day
To have a working knowledge and understanding of all policies and procedures
To have full commitment to the Mission Statement
To take on responsibilities to ensure best practice
To be aware of current legislation regarding Care Provision
To support the Manager and to facilitate the continuance of best practice
To play a positive role in the senior team
To direct and encourage all staff to participate in social activities with residents and to use all interactions with residents as an opportunity for stimulation/occupation
Document maintenance / H & S concerns in the maintenance book, informing person responsible for H & S /maintenance and ensure staff do likewise.
Access to a vehicle is required due to the location of the home and lack of public transport to the village.
Shift pattern:
2.00pm to 8.00pm Monday to Friday
8.00am to 8.00pm Saturday and Sundays
