**Location**: St Pancras Hospital, NW1 0PE (Hybrid - minimum 2 days on site at either St Pancras Hospital, St Pancras Way / St Annes unless any support for meetings takes them to other sites)

**Hours/ Shift Pattern**: Monday
- Friday 9am-5pm (37.5 hours a week)

Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust (C&I) provides high quality, safe and innovative care to our patients in the community, in their homes or in hospital.

We provide services for adults of working age, adults with learning difficulties, and older people in the London area. We currently deliver most of our care to residents in the London Boroughs of Camden and Islington. However, we also provide substance misuse services in Westminster, and a substance misuse and psychological therapies service to people living in Kingston.

**What you’ll be responsible for**:

- Advise and support managers and medical staff on appropriate action to take on complex/ highly complex probation, disciplinary, grievance, capability and absence issues with mínimal supervision, in line with trust policies and procedures, using judgement to tailor advice to the situation with due consideration to legislation, good practice, precedent, Trust policy and risk.
- Proactively develop management capability across the Trust in effectively managing staff
- Provide hands-on support and advice and training to help up-skill the managers.
- Provide HR advice at formal hearings.
- Provide HR advice at informal/formal meetings as necessary and advise on management reports and correspondence in accordance with Trust procedures.
- Work in partnership with managers and assist in the presentation of cases up to and including dismissal as and when necessary.
- Monitor monthly ER related statistics, including absence and interpret information, identify problem areas, and work with managers to address them.
- Attend service line meetings to present workforce data and indicators and to discuss interventions to bring about improvements.
- Assist the Head of ER and ER Lead with responding to ET claims

**You’ll learn the following whilst working at the trust**:

3. A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation

**You’ll have the following skills/experience**:

- Experience of advising on a wide range of ER matters
- Demonstrable track record of proactively providing excellent HR support to senior managers
- Experience of effectively advising on highly complex ER issues with mínimal supervision
- Experience of advising on change management processes
- Tactful when dealing with complex, sensitive and confidential ER issues
- NHS System Knowledge
- ESR and MHPS (desirable)
- Previous NHS experience not essential but must have a strong ER background
- This role may require you to show evidence of education to Degree level or Professional HR Qualification or at least 2 years relevant HR experience. _
