Job Title: Learning Support Assistant - SEMH Specialist

We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Male Learning Support Assistant to join our dedicated team in Camden. As a Learning Support Assistant - SEMH Specialist, you will work closely with students across primary and secondary levels, providing essential support to help them thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

About the Role:

You will be responsible for implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs. This will involve providing one-to-one and small group support, focusing on students' specific SEMH requirements. You will also foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, collaborate with teachers, parents, and external professionals to monitor and support student progress, and encourage and motivate students to engage actively in their learning and personal development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in implementing IEPs tailored to each student's needs.
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support, focusing on students' specific SEMH requirements.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external professionals to monitor and support student progress.
  • Encourage and motivate students to engage actively in their learning and personal development.

Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with children or young people, particularly those with SEMH needs.

Desirable:
  • Relevant qualifications in education, psychology, or a related field.
