As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in our SEND Schools and Mainstream Schools in Camden, North London.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and empathetic individual to provide 1:1 support and small group support to students with EHCPs who have varying levels of support and learning needs. The successful candidate will work closely with the wider ALS team to create relationships with students that encourage their academic, emotional, and social growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide 1:1 support and small group support to students with EHCPs
  • Work closely with the ALS team to create relationships with students and encourage their academic, emotional, and social growth
  • Support students with moderate learning disabilities, Autistic spectrum, social, emotional, and mental health needs (SEMH)
  • Develop and implement strategies to support students' learning and well-being
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a collaborative approach to supporting students' needs
Requirements:
  • Experience supporting children, adults, or the elderly with disabilities and/or learning difficulties in a professional or personal capacity
  • Ability to support and encourage high levels of social skills and demonstrate learning techniques
  • Commitment to a full-time role on a long-term basis working Monday to Friday
  • Patient, empathetic, and supportive approach
  • Ability to understand the needs of students and provide appropriate support
