Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEND Teaching Assistant to join our team at Empowering Learning Ltd. As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) to reach their full potential.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will have experience working with students with SEND, particularly those with autism, complex needs, and physical disabilities. You will be responsible for providing individualized support to students, promoting an inclusive learning environment, and working closely with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement personalized learning plans.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized support to students with SEND, including personal care and physical support
  • Assist teachers in the classroom, including preparing materials and resources
  • Develop and implement personalized learning plans in collaboration with teachers and other support staff
  • Support students with autism, complex needs, and physical disabilities
  • Contribute to the development of an inclusive learning environment
Requirements:
  • Experience working with students with SEND, particularly those with autism, complex needs, and physical disabilities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of autism and complex needs
