Our client who is an established family run Funeral Directors and Stonemasons, have been providing Funeral Services to the local community since 1875, covering Hastings, Bexhill, and Battle. They are currently recruiting for a **HR Manager **to join their dedicated team.

As a **HR Manager **you will be providing a dedicated HR service to all employees and managers, delivering guidance and advice in a professional and helpful way, as well as assisting the company accountants with providing accurate staffing data and monitoringof contracts to ensure payroll runs smoothly.

**The role does require you to hold a Full UK Driving Licence and own car as travel between the four branches (two in Hastings, plus Battle and Bexhill offices) is required.**
- Demonstrable experience in a HR position
- Hold a CIPD Level 3 qualification is essential
- Knowledge and understanding of employment issues in line with legislation, conditions of service and HR best practice
- Possess excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Have a strong attention to detail
- Ability to deal sensitively and appropriately with confidential information
- Have excellent interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills
- Be proficient in Microsoft Office
- Ability to prioritise workload, manage own time and deal with conflicting priorities
- Have experience of Payroll (Company payroll services are provided by the accountants; therefore, this role is responsible for providing accurate data)
- Hold a Full UK Driving Licence and Own transport
- CIPD Level 5 (or working towards) is desirable

**Your duties as a HR Manager will include**:

- Delivering guidance and advice in a professional and helpful way
- Acting as first line assistance to all colleagues and managers on a range of employment issues including conditions of service and employee benefits, discipline grievance, performance management, absence management and personal development
- Maintenance and organisation of the HR systems
- Providing accountants with accurate staffing data and monitoring contracts
- General administration duties when required

**Salary and Benefits Package**:

- Circa £25,000 per annum
- Travel expenses are reimbursed
- Annual Leave: 25 days per annum plus public and bank holidays

**Hours**:

- Core Office Hours: Mon - Fri, 8.30am - 5pm
- Full Time - 42.5 hours (including a 1 hour paid lunch break)
