An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Flight Operations Team

We are looking to appoint a self-motivated individual that is people and service focused to join our 24/7 OCC team. Someone who gets it right first time, shows passion in their work and has the “Can Do” spirit that made DHL world leading in Logistics.

**The Role**:

- Assisting in the preparation of Computerised Operational Flight Plans (OFP), and filing the Air Traffic Control (ATC) Flight Plan with the appropriate authority, with due consideration to route structure, aircraft performance, en-route and destination weather, overflight costs, air traffic route availability document (RAD).
- Constant monitoring of weather conditions and notifying the Ops Duty Manager in a timely manner of any issues affecting DHL Air aircraft.
- Assisting in maintaining a flight watch for all operating fleet aircraft, operating commercial or non-commercial. Escalating any issues, such as disappearance of aircraft, to appropriate departments and authorities.
- To provide administrative relief to the Ops Team whilst assisting them during day to day operations. Meanwhile learning and developing with the scope to become a Flight Operations Officer.

**The Requirements**:

- Hold five GCSEs - Grade 4-9 (A-C) including Maths and English.
- A strong working knowledge of MS Office packages including but not limited to Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Flexibility to work a rotating shift pattern of 10 hour shifts consisting of days and nights.
- Any experience of aviation related roles would be preferred but not required.

- Strong attention to detail and able to follow procedures.
- Excellent team working skills with the ability to deal with colleagues at all levels.

- The ability to take a pro-active and enthusiastic approach to contribute positively to a varied and pressured work load whilst adapting to changing priorities as they arise.
