Our client, a leading Digital Transformation Marketing Agency based in Chester, have a fantastic opportunity for a driven Head of Sales to join their friendly and ambitious sales function. As Head of Sales you will be responsible for furthering their sales strategy which involves identifying target markets, defining sales strategies, and outlining sales tactics (from prospecting through to closing) to achieve revenue targets.

With the offices in a converted barn only a short distance from Chester city-centre, you will be surrounded by a cluster of little villages. There is an onsite café open daily and also recently opened is a Wellness Suite, where you can book massages and manicures. On offer for the successful Head of Sales is a competitive salary and commission structure, along with a hybrid/flexible working model and a 4-day working week (but you still get paid for 5), helping you perfect that work/life balance.

**Role**:
We are a Digital Transformation, Marketing Automation and CRM Implementation consultancy who operate in the mid-market and corporate segments, and we are looking for a Head of Sales to lead our existing new business sales function.

Reporting into the Managing Director, as part of the Leadership team, you will be instrumental in shaping the future and strategic direction of the agency.

You will lead, manage and be accountable for a team of BDRs, BDMs and a bid writer and you will ensure that this team is motivated and supported to achieve or over-achieve their targets.

You will be developing sales strategy, tactics, sales plans and ensuring accurate forecasting to our finance function.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- You will be responsible for furthering our sales strategy aligned with the company's goals and objectives. This involves identifying target markets, defining sales strategies, and outlining sales tactics (from prospecting through to closing) to achieve revenue targets
- You will lead and manage the new business sales team including Business Development Representatives (BDRs), Business Development Managers (BDMs), a bid writer and potentially other roles moving forward. You will set performance expectations, coach and mentor and ensure the team is motivated and well-equipped to achieve their targets
- You will take charge of continuously refining our complete sales journey, covering prospecting, qualification, presentation and closing. You will develop and refine sales process and procedures that align with our objectives, customer need and market dynamics.
- You will own channel partner relationships, ensuring we have an effective supply of channel partner leads and maintain our industry leading close rates.
- You will be accountable for ensuring that we focus on winning customers that fit our ideal customer profile which provide our client services function with the best possible chance at maximising upsell and cross-sell opportunities.
- You will provide accurate sales forecasting providing regular reports to the senior management team on sales performance, pipeline analysis and market trends. This data-driven approach helps in making informed decisions and adjustments to the business strategy.

**Essential Skills**:

- Proven experience in leading and managing sales teams, with a track record of achieving or exceeding revenue targets.
- In-depth knowledge of sales methodologies, including prospecting, qualification, presentation, and closing techniques, with a focus on process optimisation.
- Proficiency in analysing sales data and market trends to provide accurate sales forecasts and make informed decisions.
- Proven experience in tech services sales, ideally in digital transformation or CRM, but not essential.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to deliver compelling sales presentations to clients and stakeholders.
