About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Head Chef to join our Catering Services Team at the Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the catering team and ensuring the delivery of high-quality food and excellent customer service to our patients and staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the catering team and ensure the smooth operation of the kitchen
  • Develop and implement menus that meet the dietary needs of our patients and staff
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and health and safety regulations
  • Manage budgets and resources to ensure efficient use of resources
  • Collaborate with the Head of Catering Services to achieve departmental goals and objectives

Person Specification

We are looking for an individual with:

  • Experience of managing a catering team and kitchen operations
  • Knowledge of food safety and health and safety regulations
  • Ability to develop and implement menus that meet the dietary needs of patients and staff
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
