PURPOSE OF YOUR JOB
- To support and contribute to the delivery of Shekinah’s services, in particular the Learning Exchange and Workforce Development Programme being delivered as part of the Changing Futures Programme supporting people who experience multiple disadvantage.
- To undertake general administrative tasks.
- To maintain a positive and friendly organisational image when in contact with visitors, colleagues, service users and vendors in person, online, or via telephone.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

1. Act as a role model in all you do and represent the organisation professionally and positively in accordance with our behaviours and values.

2. Undertaking basic, general administrative tasks.

3. Attending staff and team meetings when necessary.

4. Work within relevant Health and Safety guidelines to maximise the safety of people using Shekinah services and staff.

5. To develop professionally and to identify opportunities to improve the level of service Shekinah offers to the people using our services.

6. Follow all policies and procedures and in particular those in respect of Risk Assessment and Safety Planning, Professional Boundaries and Lone Working, Safeguarding Adults and Safeguarding Children and other good practice guidelines or legislative requirements as required.

7. Any other reasonable duties required of you in your role as required.

GENERAL

 Adhere to all Shekinah policies and procedures.

This job description covers the current range of duties and will be reviewed from time to time. It is Shekinah’s aim to reach agreement on changes, but if agreement is not possible, Shekinah reserves the right to change this job description.

Role Profile - Learning Exchange and Workforce Development Programme Administrator

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Administration and Finance
- Ensure proper administrative, financial and record keeping systems are developed and maintained including the operation of computerised systems as appropriate.
- To maintain accurate records of attendance, enrolment, outcomes and onward referrals.
- To actively promote and advertise the Exchange and workforce development programme and ensure courses are well attended.
- To support the co-ordination of room bookings, course schedules and development of prospectus
- To issue attendance certificates and coordinate feedback on courses to feed into future delivery.

2. Student Support (Learning Exchange)
- Ensure the Learning Exchange always provides a warm welcoming safe environment for all students
- To support students to complete Individual Learning Plans.
- To provide one-to-one support to students and resolve any barriers that may prevent participation
- Support an ambitious and creative approach to all students ensuring The Learning Exchange is a stepping-stone to further achievements
- Ensure students enjoy their participation

3. Support for Exchange and workforce development Facilitators
- Provide practical and administrative assistance to facilitators

4. Exchange Governance
- Participate and support the development of the co-produced Governance structure, curriculum group and Students Association

5. External Partners
- To ensure The Learning Exchange is well connected with a wide variety of community organisations and mainstream providers beyond the homelessness sector, in particular domestic abuse system and criminal justice system.

6. Future Development
- To help to ensure that The Learning Exchange becomes and remains the leader in its field

EXPERIENCE AND TRACK RECORD

ESSENTIAL

The post holder will have:
1. Knowledge of the learning barriers impacting on people who living complex lives and the networks of support available to help overcome them.

2. Ability to work independently and make decisions with minimum supervision.

3. Project administration skills/ experience.

4. A creative approach to problem solving.

5. Ability to help to support a team of volunteer tutors.

6. Excellent communication skills, including report writing.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 15 per week
