Our London-based client currently have an exciting new vacancy within their central operations team. They are seeking a Controls Assurance Analyst ideally with 1-2 years of relevant experience, and knowledge of asset finance gained within a professionalenvironment.

Working closely with the Governance Manager and Governance Analyst, the Controls Assurance Analyst will be responsible for promoting a strong control environment across the business, ensuring that all aspects of operations comply with internal policies,procedures and controls as well as external rules and regulations.

The role focuses on, but is not limited to, conducting operational controls assurance testing, producing robust reporting for the consumption of team members, senior management and various risk committees and actively manage stakeholders to follow throughwith actions to closure.

The Package:

- £26,000 - £32,000 DOE
- Monday - Friday, 9am-515pm
- Hybrid working considered
- 25 days' holiday + bank holidays

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform internal control testing to an agreed assurance plan
- Completing controls testing on all defined business areas to the required volume and level of accuracy
- Using outputs of controls testing to provide continuous feedback to staff
- Perform periodic independent control checks on a monthly and quarterly basis including in respect of post-trade monitoring testing and inducements policy compliance
- Focus on high risk, high volume and high value workloads samples to reduce risk of loss / material adverse impact
- Help ensure effective governance and assurance arrangements are maintained by assisting in preparation and delivery of monthly and quarterly MI packs and Committee reporting to agreed timeline
- Ensure that Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) are documented in a consistent manner in line with Procedural Governance Framework in accordance with the Policy & Procedural Governance Framework, lead periodic process and SOP reviews

Minimum Requirements:
Essential
- Proven ability to develop strong working relationships with key operational colleagues including senior management, as well as compliance and risk officers
- Some knowledge of risk management with a broad familiarity with Operational and Conduct Risk
- Attention to detail, analytical, methodical and resourceful approach to problem solving
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, being self-motivated with excellent time management skills
- Ability to interpret data, adapting and responding to change
- An excellent history of high quality personal performance and a desire to exceed expectations
- Conflict handling skills and ability to provide positive but constructive feedback
- Capable of handling a diverse range of projects/duties simultaneously with constantly changing priorities
- Strong oral and written communication
- Competent Microsoft Excel and Word skills

Desirable
- Strong level of product and technical knowledge
- The ability to troubleshoot common problems
- Experience in an operational based environment preferred
- Experience of coaching and developing others
- Liaise with senior business stakeholders up to ExCo level
