**About us**:
Go low carbon have become established in 3 verticals: Carbon Auditing, Energy Brokering, Solar Power Solutions. With ambition to grow into other green technologies and services.
The business has built a client base and reputation on providing excellent service and honest advice. After 5 years of business development and steady growth, we now manage a portfolio of C.£60m of utility purchasing on behalf of our clients, along with a C.£7m pipeline of potential solar sales, with additional ambitious growth plans.
**About the role**:
In this role, you will work closely with the CFO & MD to map the strategy for the whole business as part of the Investment memorandum and raise working capital to execute those ambitious growth plans. You will understand the competitive landscape, economic indicators, and market trends in the sectors the business operates in. You will be somebody with a desire to own projects and exceed expectations, with the ability to find solutions and deliver results within a rapidly changing, entrepreneurial, technology-driven culture.
**The main responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to and will be further discussed in detail at interview stage**:
**Delivering the strategy**
- Develop and implement a company wide sales strategy to achieve ambitious growth targets.
- Guide, manage and support sales director working towards comprehensive growth strategy in the brokering sector.
- Produce accurate and informative reporting for the board and sales management teams on both achieved and forecast sales.
- Work with the Board to complete a robust Investment memorandum for external phased investment.
**Directing sales team**
- Recruit, train and manage Sales Team, overseeing activities to ensure their effectiveness
- Managing performance of sales team against targets, and implementing training sessions where required
- Analyse pipeline and lead data, deliver periodic reporting to the board providing key business insights: typical reporting relates to lead generation, pipeline forecast, and Trends, Conversion Rates, Target Account, Market Segmentation
**Sourcing new business**
- Secure meetings with prospective clients, and confidently present the company's services to clients.
- Represent the business at industry conferences, trade fairs and networking events
- Hands on with current solar enquiries and converting them into sales.
- Work with the marketing team to create effective lead generation campaigns and to implement marketing strategies.
- Energy and drive, with passion and values that reflect those of the business
- A sound knowledgebase of the competitive landscape, economic indicators and market trends in the energy sector
- A desire to own projects and exceed expectations, with the ability to find solutions and deliver results within a rapidly changing, entrepreneurial, technology-driven culture
- Technical minded, with the ability to analyse data, prepare reports and use appropriate modes of communication.
- Ability to understand the impact of operational initiatives from both a sales and marketing perspective which will mean working with the wider business to ensure maximum output and results.
- Proven success working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment including strong negotiation skills, the ability to work past objections, and strong relationship building skills.
- A track-record of sales progression and management within the energy brokering sector
- People management skills, an individual who is comfortable managing others and identifying possible gaps in skill sets in order to develop and create the best possible workforce across the sales division.
