As a Senior Service Designer in DLUHC your work will be pivotal to achieving our vision as a department.

**Job description**:
**As a senior service designer, you’ll**:

- work as part of an agile, multidisciplinary team to design and deliver public services for users
- design collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders, including policy and operational delivery teams
- use research and evidence to identify and solve complex problems
- develop service strategies in partnership with your team
- guide and support a growing community of designers in the department

**Person specification**:
**As a senior service designer, you’ll have**:

- experience of designing end-to-end services for users in complex environments
- experience of involving a wide range of users and stakeholders in design activities
- experience of using research and evidence to understand user needs and test design concepts
- an ability to think strategically and negotiate important design decisions
- an ability to create service prototypes using a variety of methods
- an ability to quickly understand the social, technological and political context of services
- a deep understanding of the importance of inclusive, accessible and sustainable public services
- a demonstrable ability to guide and support others
