**What we are looking for**: We are looking for an experienced and motivated **Business Development Manager** to join our Business Development Team. This is a key role in the continuity of growth within the company and you will work closely with the Head of Business Developmentto deliver business targets.
You will be a Business Sales orientated professional who has high emotional intelligence and excellent relationship building skills. You will need to present arguments in a persuasive manner and your negotiation skills will be required to show a willingnessto find common ground and be co-operative within the team to achieve objectives.
**The roles main responsibilities of our Business Development Manager include**:
- Generating new business in line with annual targets and the strategic direction of the business
- Raising the profile of the business with potential corporate customers by developing excellent relationships and regular communication.
- Creating long-term, trusting relationships with customers, Control Centre’s, Local Authorities, Housing Associations and other prospective B2B customers. You will be attending regular customer meetings and deal with queries and identify any new businessopportunities.
- A key contact for all customer matters, your role will be to anticipate the customer’s needs and work within the Company to ensure deadlines for the customers are met. You will need to be able to demonstrate sound judgements in any decisions you make.
- Developing and closing sales within an agreed geographical area regarding Taking Care services and products to local authorities, housing associations, and other prospective business to business customers. You will generate revenues in line with annualtargets.
- Qualifying prospects / Pipeline Management / Accurate forecasting.
- Cold Calling/ Identifying and following up leads.
- Conducting presentations and product/service demos
To succeed in this role, you will have a logical and objective thinking style, strong closing skills and the ability to adapt your style to your audience
- Excellent sales skills including most senior level negotiations with local authorities and/or NHS.
- Knowledge of and empathy with the issues faced by older people reaching frailty or dementia and the caring challenges faced by their children.
- Good knowledge of the health and care markets.
- Good understanding of equipment types and technological and service development within the sector
- Experience of the telecare/telehealth market and a clear understanding of the competitive landscape.
