**About the Trust**

Alder Hey Children’s Hospital cares for over 330,000 children, young people, and their families every year. As one of Europe’s biggest and busiest children’s hospitals, we treat everything from common illnesses to highly complex and specialist conditions. In addition to our main hospital site, we offer paediatric services at a number of community sites and hold local clinics across Merseyside, Cumbria, Shropshire, Wales, and the Isle of Man. We also provide specialist inpatient care for children with complex mental health needs at our Alder Park Building in North Liverpool.

**What you’ll be responsible for**:

- Provide a high quality administrative services to the Director and members of the NWNODN team.
- Diary management for Director and Quality Improvement Lead Nurse team.
- Co-ordinate NWNODN meeting date annual schedule.
- Prepare agenda and meeting documentation to support NWNODN meetings.
- Attend relevant meetings, documenting minutes and actions. Co-ordinate follow up on actions.

The role will involve, but not be limited to you performing the above

**You’ll learn the following whilst working at the trust**:

- An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS
- Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times
- A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation

**You’ll have the following skills/experience**:

- Excellent communication skills.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Packages e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Ability to demonstrate an understanding of the importance of confidentiality and the Data Protection Act.
- Audio typing and word processing skills at 60wpm, Administration or RSA level III qualification or equivalent.
