Position: Care Co-ordinator Trainee
Company: Maaya Care
Location: Work from home( Twice a Month need to come in Head office which is in Walsall, WestMidlands. You will cover Liverpool, Merseyside, Cheshire, Wirral.
Duration: 3-month trainee position with a guaranteed job offer upon completion
**Salary**: Paid hourly rate at National Minimum Wage for any care services provided.
About Maaya Care: Maaya Care is dedicated to providing exceptional home care services, ensuring the highest standards of support and compassion for our service users. We are looking for a motivated and compassionate Care Co-ordinator Trainee to join our dynamic team.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Schedule and plan the support staff including-answer each incoming call in a friendly, professional, and knowledgeable manner, both in the office and during on-call.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, companions, and befrienders through regular informative telephone and Quality Assurance contact.
- Co-ordinate and plan rotas on a daily and monthly basis.
- Co-ordinate and plan holiday and sickness cover. Identify and report any areas of recruitment needed.
- Undertake administration of carers' compliance files.
- Check medication records.
- Develop and review care plans.
- Monitor staff and client communications.
- Respond to complaints and queries from clients.
- Ensure good record keeping.
- Induct new care staff.
- Carry out supervisions, spot checks, risk assessments, and produce reports.
- Register and interview domiciliary care workers and support workers.
- Stand in during emergencies to cover care calls when required.
**Requirements**:
- NVQ Level 2/ 3 in Health and Social Care.
- Must hold a valid driver's license and have access to a vehicle.
- Good computer/IT skills.
- Previous experience in a similar position within the care setting, ideally dealing with elderly and vulnerable people.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
