We are hiring for a Bodyshop Manager / Accident Repair Centre Manager to oversee a small site specializing in express vehicle repairs in Nottingham. This role involves managing a dedicated team and ensuring high standards of repair work in a dynamic environment.
Duties of a Bodyshop Manager / Accident Repair Centre Manager
You will be working as part of the management team and will be responsible for:
Assigning daily tasks to body shop technicians according to their skills and monitoring staff performance and repair quality.
Overseeing staff management and conducting damage assessments to deliver precise estimates for both customers and insurers.
Addressing customer complaints and ensuring adherence to agreed key-to-key and cycle times.
Promoting additional repairs, managing KPIs related to work providers and insurance approvals, and leading daily production meetings.
Enforcing safe repair practices, managing parts and consumables procurement, and preparing monthly reports for review with the General Manager.
Coordinating with staff and customers regarding vehicle progress and implementing best practices to achieve monthly targets.
Ensuring adherence to Health and Safety regulations and authorizing any necessary changes to repair work.
Skills and Experience of a Bodyshop Manager / Accident Repair Centre Manager
As a Bodyshop Manager, you should have:
Demonstrated leadership skills with a proven ability to deliver a 5-star customer experience.
Extensive experience in a body shop or accident repair setting, with a deep knowledge of the functioning of an accident repair centre.
ATA certification or equivalent experience as a time-served technician, along with NVQ Levels 1, 2, and 3.
It would be beneficial if you also had:
Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
Access to reliable transport.
Additional qualifications or experience in body shop management.
