Job Title: Ecology Manager
Location: Remote (Southeast)
Salary: Up to £55,000
A leading multidisciplinary environmental consultancy is seeking an experienced Ecologist to join their team as an Ecology Manager. This role offers the flexibility of working remotely while being involved in diverse projects across the Southeast and London.
As an Ecology Manager, you will work on a wide range of projects, including heritage initiatives involving historic buildings, as well as mixed-use developments, residential, commercial, and renewable energy sectors. This is a unique opportunity to enhance your professional portfolio within a collaborative and supportive environment.

Requirements:
BSc in a relevant field (MSc preferred)
Extensive consultancy experience in Ecology (Essential)
Expertise in Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG)
Level 2 Bat Licence
Strong communication and organisational skills
Specialisation in Botany
Valid driving licence and access to a personal vehicle (Essential)
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage ecological projects, conducting assessments, habitat surveys, and impact evaluations
Perform fieldwork focusing on protected species and habitats
Produce high-quality technical reports in line with CIEEM standards, ensuring legal compliance
Cultivate strong client relationships, contribute to tendering processes, and explore business development opportunities
Participate in marketing efforts to boost the consultancy's presence and influence in the ecological sector
This role is primarily remote, with occasional site visits and meetings, mainly in London and surrounding areas. Although the consultancy operates without a physical office, they hold quarterly meetings and social events in London to foster team collaboration.
