Job Summary:
My Client is seeking a diligent and flexible Part-Time Bank Reconciliation and Credit Control Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing bank reconciliations, managing credit control processes, and providing general office support as needed. This role offers flexible working hours and patterns, making it perfect for someone looking to balance other commitments while contributing to our financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
" Bank Reconciliation:
o Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial records.
o Investigate and resolve discrepancies between bank statements and internal records.
o Maintain up-to-date and accurate reconciliation reports.
" Credit Control:
o Monitor customer accounts to identify overdue payments.
o Contact customers to remind them of outstanding invoices and arrange payment plans if necessary.
o Record and manage incoming payments and update customer accounts accordingly.
o Work closely with the sales and finance teams to resolve any billing issues or disputes.
" General Office Support:
o Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and managing office supplies.
o Provide support during busy periods, including covering for other staff members when needed.
o Assist with other finance-related tasks and projects as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
" Previous experience in bank reconciliation and credit control is highly desirable.
" Strong attention to detail and excellent numerical skills.
" Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
" Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
" Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
" Flexible and adaptable approach to work, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
