About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Treasury Assistant to join our team at Valeo Foods UK. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a crucial role in supporting the management of all cash-related tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process ad-hoc payments and match them to ledgers in a timely manner.
  • Reconcile bank deposits and payments daily for all accounts and oversee daily cashbook reporting of all bank accounts.
  • Produce weekly bank reconciliations for review by the Treasury Accountant.
  • Provide monthly reconciliations for assigned bank accounts and petty cash in line with our month-end process.
  • Process cash and credit card expenses.
  • Understand and become a super user in our expenses process, providing training where required and answering queries from staff members.
  • Support the Treasury Accountant with the completion of cashflows and forecasting as appropriate.
  • Act as cover for the weekly Factoring process.
  • Help implement new processes, controls, and best practices as the Treasury function continues to grow.
Requirements
  • Be well-organized in your workflow and able to prioritize work to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Have strong communication skills.
  • Have accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Be able to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team.
  • Have at least 1 year's finance experience.
  • Knowledge of SAGE 1000/IFS is desirable but not essential.
