The Role

As a billing executive, it is our role to obtain and validate all bills on a monthly basis, and to interrogate the bills to identify supplier errors and savings for our clients.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

*Obtain bills from supplier portals, emails, over the phone, and other sources.

*Validate both EDI and paper bills for all suppliers and utility types, including gas, electricity, water, heat, MOP, and other commodities.

*Upload PDF copy bills as required by client.

*Raise billing queries with suppliers and see through to resolution.

*Investigate and respond to internal and external queries.

*Review and update tasks.

*Spot inefficiencies with systems and processes and suggest changes or developments.

*Attend meetings with clients or suppliers as required.

*Prepare missing bill reports and work with suppliers to obtain missing bills, including historic bills.

Person Specification

First of foremost, we are seeking someone who is driven and proactive, able to identify supplier errors and savings for our clients.

**Essential Knowledge Requirements**

* Microsoft Outlook

* Basic Excel (filtering, sums, using Excel to calculate)

* Data entry

* Customer service

* Numeracy

* General admin (email, ability to speak on the phone to suppliers)

* Understanding of energy billing

**Desirable Knowledge Requirements**

*Intermediate Excel, such as pivot tables, lookups, concatenate

*Energy consultancy working environment

*Advanced excel skills – Power BI

*1-3 years’ experience
