Job Description

**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Utilities Billing Specialist to join our team at Zero Trace Procurement. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our billing processes.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Obtain and validate bills from various suppliers and utility providers.
  • Interrogate bills to identify errors and opportunities for cost savings.
  • Upload bills to our system and ensure timely payment.
  • Raise queries with suppliers and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Investigate and respond to internal and external queries related to billing.
  • Review and update tasks to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Identify and suggest improvements to our billing processes and systems.
  • Attend meetings with clients and suppliers as required.
  • Prepare and analyze billing reports to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Basic understanding of energy billing and utility management.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and lookups.
  • Experience working in an energy consultancy or related field.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
