Job Description

Currently we have an excellent permanent job opportunity for a part time Psychologist to work within a residential service covering both eating disorders and acute wards. The service specialises in psychological interventions to meet the needs of complex and often challenging patients with a range of mental health presentations.

Salary: Up to £16,133 (FTE up to £55k)

Position: HCPC Registered Psychologist

Hours: 11

Setting: Eating Disorders & Acute

Location: Preston

For this role, you will be responsible for:

Developing, delivering, and evaluating psychological treatment plans using a person-centered approach to help patients achieve their positive life goals and optimal functioning.
Independently facilitate weekly 1:1 sessions with all patients, requiring substantial experience in treating Eating Disorders.
Facilitate group therapy sessions, applying experience and expertise in group dynamics and therapy.
Engage in direct and indirect clinical work, contributing to multidisciplinary team (MDT) decision-making processes.
Participate in staff training and supervision to ensure high standards of care and support.
Communicate effectively with the clinical team, patients, and wider community agencies to ensure coordinated care.
Evaluate and contribute to the development of key aspects of the service, enhancing its overall effectiveness.
Demonstrate enhanced organizational skills and the ability to work independently and proactively.
