I am currently recruiting an energetic, dedicated and experienced Autism Teaching Assistant for our SEND school in South West London. The successful Support Assistant will be on a full-time long term contract starting as early as possible for the whole academic year. You need a calm and positive approach and also be really proactive and approachable as children can be quite reserved.

DBS on the Update Service is ideal

Supporting children and young people with Autism/ASC, Moderate to Severe and Profound Multiple Learning Difficulties (SLD/PMLD)

*

Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 16:00pm

*

Providing a creative and fun learning environment

*

£75 - £100 per day; weekly payment

*

Have a positive mindset, flexible approach, and a can-do attitude

Ideally have experience supporting children and young people with Autism/ASC

Many of the students will communicate non-verbally, so being able to use Makaton or PECs will be ideal. You must be comfortable with personal care (feeding and toileting). As an Autism Support Worker, you will work closely with other staff members and the multidisciplinary therapy team. Recent experience and a genuine passion for working with SEN pupils are essential. All applicants will need to hold a current enhanced Child Workforce DBS and be fully compliant to work in the UK.
